Workshop on marine tourism product development

(Hanoitourist) - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen Province has recently held a workshop themed "Current situations and solutions to develop marine tourism products in Phu Yen province".
At the workshop, there were presentations by scientists, state managers, travel businesses and tour operators, many presentations focused on analyzing the current situations and marine tourism product solutions in the area of Xuan Dai Bay (Song Cau town) and the vicinity.
At the workshop, delegates’ presentations all assessed that the strength of Phu Yen tourism is the sea and islands, but at present the locality has not had many products featured marine tourism to attracting tourists. Particularly Xuan Dai Bay area and vicinity, according to the province’s tourism development, this is a worthy area with high expectation of exploring tourism. There are many bays, coastal islands, beautiful beaches, diversified eco-system ... tying to the system of tangible and intangible cultural heritages of coastal residents. This is a resource with great potentials to serve tourism.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, marine tourism product development will prioritize such types as: resort tourism in association with eco-tourism, sports tourism...; sight-seeing tourism of cultural historic monuments, architecture, landscapes, coastal festivals; cuisine tourism with local marine specialties; traditional village tourism in association with maritime village culture. Xuan Dai Bay area and vicinity strive to become a national tourism zone by the year 2020.
The workshop is the foundation for Phu Yen tourism sector to orientate marine tourism product development of the province in the coming time, especially Xuan Dai Bay area and vicinity that has been planned as the point tourism area in Central South region by the Government./.
